Live Bookmarks

Whether it's news from CNN and BBC, or posts on your friend's blog, the Web is updated continually. Firefox's Live Bookmarks feature automatically keeps track of these updates for you, so you always know when new content has been added to your favorite sites.

With Live Bookmarks, the content comes to you. Instead of constantly checking Web pages for changes and additions, a Live Bookmark delivers updates to you as soon as they are available.

What is RSS?

RSS (an acronym for "Rich Site Summary" and later coined "Really Simple Syndication") is a way for web sites to summarize their content, such as news articles, to make it available in a different view. For example many news sites provide an RSS feed of their headlines, so you can view them like bookmarks in Firefox or like email in Thunderbird. Your favourite blogs also publish an RSS feed.

RSS comes in many flavors, including RSS 0.9, RSS 1.0, RSS 2.0, and Atom, and Mozilla Firefox supports them all.
